Our annual charity gaming/storytelling/theater event returns this fall – four times as big, all virtual, and featuring a roster of all-star Dungeon Master’s Guild creators and plenty of Halloween-themed adventures!
Play Dungeons & Dragons from October 22-25 with your favorite Red Monkey Theater Group and Cast Party performers. This year’s event will also include a a free workshop from Cast Party’s Matt Gordon to help you run awesome online D&D games on Roll20. New to D&D? Always wanted to play but never had the chance? Don’t worry, we’ll teach you!
You can join us for one session, or play all weekend.
A portion of the proceeds from this year’s Dungeons & Monkeys will benefit Red Monkey Theater Group, a non-profit professional theater company in residence at the College of Mount Saint Vincent, Bronx, New York.

When the sovereign of a war-stricken kingdom goes missing, adventurers must brave the castle dungeons to find them. Death stalks the dungeon walls and dark deeds come to light as the characters uncover the story of a terrible sacrifice, culminating in a choice that will decide the fate of an entire realm. Lake of Secrets features a fresh narrative abounding with intrigue, traps, and puzzles.

MEET THE DUNGEONS & MONKEYS 2020 DUNGEON MASTERS

Tal Aviezer is the Artistic Director of Red Monkey Theater Group, resident theater company of NYC’s College of Mount Saint Vincent, for whom he writes and acts in a series of ongoing site-specific Sherlock Holmes plays performed at both Bartow-Pell Mansion-Museum in NYC and at Lyndhurst mansion in Tarrytown, NY. Tal has directed and produced numerous shows over the past 21 years, many of them works of Shakespeare. Recent favorite roles include Hamlet, Macbeth, Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, Trigorin in The Seagull, Gary Peter Lefkowitz in I Hate Hamlet, Cassius in Julius Caesar, and Mr. Croup in Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere.
Tal has worked as a voice actor and voice director for video games and for numerous local and national radio stations. Training: National Theater Institute, Royal Shakespeare Company. An experienced DM, Tal considers D&D to be a powerful interactive storytelling tool and an engine of creativity, empathy, friendship, and fun. His style includes an equal emphasis on role-playing, exploration and discovery, and combat. Leon Barillaro is a game designer and writer living in Jersey City. They currently work for Future Proof as a game designer for their transmedia experience online and in immersive theatrical events. Leon has writing and editing credits on several products on the Dungeon Masters Guild, including best-selling titles Uncaged Anthology and The Book of House. Matt Gordon has been involved with role-playing since he was six years old. Joe Raso is a dad, a husband, a mediocre goalie for a rec hockey team, and a long-suffering DM who’s had the pleasure of gaming with the same group since his university days. Kyle Thomas is a long time DM, new dad, and proud participant in every Dungeons and Monkeys event so far. His love of improv got him back into the game in 2013, but his love of the game has built a family of role players that have inspired him to create his own world. This year a few players will get to enter that world.

Sebastian Yūe is a Toronto-based author, editor, model, and voice actor. Lake of Secrets is their first published TTRPG adventure. Sebastian is also a developer for Islands & Aswangs, a 5e sourcebook based on Filipino folklore. In their spare time, Sebastian enjoys reading, fencing, theatre-going, and traveling.
